高考英语写作如何写好“词”
词语的选择对英语写作非常重要。说话或写文章用词适当比穿着适当难度大得多,因此具有更大的重要性。我国古代就有贾岛把“推”字改为“敲”字的典故。 在遣词造句时,要注意英语单词的词形、词性、词义和用法及习惯搭配等,这是写好文章的基础。 一、要注意拼写的正确性 书面表达中的“拼写和标点符号是语言准确性的一个方面,评分时应视其对交际能力的影响程度予以考虑。英美拼写及词汇用法均可接受。”正确的词形是正确表达语言的基础。英语是拼音文字,是由若干字母按一定的顺序排列而成的,多一个字母或少一个字母甚或是把字母顺序写颠倒了就会出错或写成别的单词了。如dog若写倒了就成了god(上帝,神仙)了。还有常容易写错的单词,如把mental(精神的)写成metal(金属);把though写成through;把true写成 ture,把 mile 写成 mail 等(from )。 在写作中如果不重视拼写,就很容易弄出笑话或产生误解。在历史上曾有过这样一则笑话,说的是一家报社在报道一女王访问某地时,其中一句话是“女王经过一座桥”,本应用passed by the bridge,可是在排版时却误把passed印成了pissed,从而句意也由“经过大桥”变成了“在大桥边小便”。但当第二天发现时已来不及更改了,报社只好单独把修改后的报纸重印一张给女王看。由此可见,单词的拼写必须十分重视。 二、要注意用对单词的词性 词性是我们中国学生写作时常易忽略的问题之一。我们平时记了大量的单词,可有时往往只重视记词义,忽视其了词性,导致写作中的误用现象。如: 在一些亚洲国家种稻子。 误:Rice is grown in some Asia countries) 析:anxious为形容词,在句中不能作谓语,应该在其前加be,即be anxious。 三、要注意英语单词的多义性 在造句时,我们应明白,英语中的词多为多义词,用法也很有讲究,且有时因词义不同而用法不同。如: The brothers served in the army for two years. 这兄弟俩在部队服役两年。(serve为不及物动词) We must serve the people heart and soul. 我们必须全心全意为人民服务。(serve为及物动词) 再如develop是个常见词,它有多种意思,可作不及物动词,也可用作及物动词并与不同的词搭配。如: He believes that sports can develop mind and body. 他相信运动有益于身心发展。 Gradually their friendship developed into love. 他们的友谊逐渐发展成爱情。 I think these photographs will look nice when they’re developed. 我想这些照片冲好之后一定很不错。 We have made our great efforts to develop our English speaking skills. 我们要尽力培养英语会话技巧。 I developed the habit of eating between meals. 我养成了吃零食的习惯。 She has developed an interest in international affairs. 她对国际事务逐渐产生了兴趣。 Please try to develop the idea more fully. 请将该意见更详细地说明一番。 His business developed quickly. 他的事业迅速发展起来。 反之,也常常有几个词语表示类似的含义,如“国家”有country, land, nation和state等,“收到”有receive, get, accept等;“到达”有get to, arrive (at / in), reach等。当然,这些词在使用中也会有所不同,应注意区别。 (1)This place is worth visiting. (2) This place is very worth visiting. (3) This place is worth to visit. (4) This place is worth a visit.
